The Commission is an independent body that deals with complaints about all types of health service providers in NSW. This includes doctors, nurses, hospitals, medical practices and alternative practitioners.The Commission assesses all complaints. Where suitable, it will help to resolve them. In serious cases, it may investigate the complaint further, and where it finds gross negligence or a serious departure from standards, it can prosecute a practitioner before a disciplinary body. This service is confidential.
