Supporting young people at risk is one of the most important facets of Wayside’s work. From Monday to Saturday, Wayside Youth provides a safe and supportive environment for all young people with a particular focus on those living rough in the Kings Cross area. The drop-in centre is the only specific drop-in space for young people in Kings Cross. The space provides laundry and shower facilities, breakfast and dinner programs, activities, outings and transitional case work support. Most importantly, it provides a safe place to spend the day. Youth workers provide:
- Information on topics including alcohol and other drugs & mental health
