The Aboriginal Heritage Office (AHO) is a joint initiative by Lane Cove, North Sydney, Manly, Warringah, Willoughby, Ku-ring-gai, Pittwater and City of Ryde councils, in a progressive move to protect Aboriginal Heritage.
The Aboriginal Heritage Office’s main role is to regularly monitor and manage Aboriginal sites to ensure their preservation and protection.
The AHO develops and implements community education programs and events aimed at increasing the collective knowledge of Aboriginal cultural heritage. School visits and presentations, walks and tours of our Keeping Place and Museum are part of our free Education Program.
