The COPMI (Children of Parents with a Mental Illness) Consultants provide support and interventions for children and parents/families where a parent has a mental illness. Support may include issues regarding parenting capacity, impact of mental illness, family focused intervention, care planning, group programs, psycho-education and other assessments and interventions depending on need. The service aims to help minimise the vulnerability to mental health problems in children of parents who experience mental illness.
